Meet our Family

Our Staff

Rachel Molyneux,
Owner/Trainer

Rachel started her life-long dog addiction as a shelter volunteer. The passion just grew over time, and she has worked as the Volunteer Coordinator for the Bisbee Animal Shelter, Animal Care Officer for Cochise County Sheriff’s Department and Sierra Vista Police Department, Interim Shelter Supervisor for the Nancy J. Brua Animal Care Center, and Rescue Program Coordinator for Pima Animal Care Center.  Throughout her years working in shelters, Rachel was often the go-to for difficult and behaviorally challenged dogs, and she committed herself to learning how to help them.  She left the field of Animal Welfare and Sheltering in 2013 to start sol.DOG, and took her passion for helping dogs with her.

Training professionally and owning a small-business in Tucson are dreams come true for Rachel.  She enjoys being able to give back to the community in a new way –by helping families turn their problem pups into cherished members of the family and by supporting the efforts of rescue groups.

Over the years, Rachel has rescued, fostered, rehabilitated and adopted out hundreds of dogs. Rachel is also the president of Pit n’ Proud, a non-profit bully breed advocacy and education organization. She shares her life and home with her pack of nine dogs, and always an extra foster dog or two.  She continually seeks out continuing education opportunities to expand her skill set and understanding of canine behavior.

Katherine Fiskar,
Trainer

Katherine has worked with horses, dogs, and cats her whole life, and she brings with her a diverse background and an interest in supporting the WHOLE animal — mind, body and spirit.  Katherine shares her home with three dogs, a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd, Harvey, a Mixed Breed, Trixie, and an American Bulldog, Kappo.  Katherine loves the outdoors, and her dogs are her constant companions — going hiking, camping, swimming, roller blading, biking, and more with her.

Katherine’s background includes raising and training her own Arab colt, competing in equestrian competitions, and providing training and supporting foaling on a thoroughbred farm of 200 horses for five years.  In Tucson, Katherine has given her time and efforts to supporting and working with shelter, rescue, and other dog orgnaizations, including the Humane Society of Southern Arizona, Handi-Dogs, and internships/apprentices with local training companies, Seize the Leash and K9 Guidance to Inclusion.

While at the Humane Society of Southern Arizona, Katherine worked to develop the Behavior, Enrichment, Rehabilitation, and Training Department, which included kickstarting several new programs including dog handling classes for staff and volunteers, group lessons for adopters, and developing play groups and specialized socials for shelter dogs.

We’re honored to have had Katherine join our team in August of 2017.
